About the exhibition: 
"Untitled_(WAG)" is an artwork that enquiries you about your own expectations as an art viewer. It was specifically conceived for the classic white gallery space of the WAG and intends to address you in an intimate way.



Susana Mendes Silva's work incorporates elements of research and archival practice that leads to the creation of works whose historical and political references become visible as exhibitions, actions and performances that employ a wide variety of media. Her universe considers and reframes different social contexts without ever losing track of the individual's uniqueness. Her psychological intimacy and her voice are often the means for the diffusion and reception of poetic and political messages that call upon them.

What is WAG:


The “WAG" is a mini 3-dimensional, single room gallery that fits into people pocket for IPhone, IPod Touch and I Pad. Every month, directly on audience mobile, The “WAG” hosts a solo digital art exhibition related to the dynamic site-specific contest. So, the Widget Art Gallery works both as a sort of kunsthalle showing temporary exhibitions and as a permanent collections museum because it conserves all the past exhibitions inside an online archive.

Audio Description remete para uma técnica de narração de imagens ou representações visuais que descreve a acção, as cenas, o cenário, o que só pode ser visto.

Esta performance está integrada no Ciclo Vinte e sete sentidos, com Organização da Granular.


Susana Mendes Silva é artista plástica e performer. Desde meados dos anos noventa tem vindo a criar um corpo de trabalho fragmentado e anti-linear empregando media tão diferentes como os da fotografia, vídeo, instalação, desenho e performance. As suas performances partem sempre de mimetizar acções que pertencem à esfera da vida de todos os dias: fazer uma pergunta, contar uma história, ter uma acção política, perturbar um cenário.

Abdul Moimême tem formação e actividade em arquitectura, estudou guitarra e saxofone, neste último caso com Patrick Brennan. Tem projectos com Ricardo Guerreiro e d’Incise, e integra a Variable Geometry Orchestra de Ernesto Rodrigues. Abdul Moimême é ainda divulgador de jazz, escrevendo desde 1999 em publicações como as revistas jazz.pt, All Jazz e Flirt.
